The National Park Service commemorates the 147th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg with a series of special Park Ranger-conducted battle walks and real-time programs that follow the course of the battle over three days. Aug. 8 - Peach Festival 2010 at Hollabaugh Bros. Inc. Retail Farm Market. We will have lots of peaches, peach products, samples galore, peach ice cream sundaes, live music, a play area for kids, wagon rides, a lunch stand and much more! The New Oxford Area Historical Society will host “An Afternoon Tea, Steeped in History”, a fundraiser, on August 22 @ 2:30pm at the First Lutheran Church in New Oxford. Served on antique china, the four course tea is sure to satisfy your appetite as well as your taste for history. A program about the intricate art of Victorian Hair Jewelry will be presented by Lucy Cadwallader, including a demonstration. Cost is $20.
